1. Information we collect

Lakeside Battery provides mobile car battery replacement, jump starts, recovery and garage services (engine repair, AC service and gas refilling, gearbox and transmission repair, oil change, brake pads, clutch, wheel alignment and suspension, body and paint work, tyre puncture repair, detailing, pre-purchase inspection and 24/7 roadside assistance). This website has no contact forms, no user accounts and no online payments. You are never asked to type personal information into a page here.

Two kinds of information are collected anyway, and one more only if you choose to contact us:

• Automatically, by our hosting provider: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you and the time of your visit. This is standard server log data used to keep the site running and secure.
• Through cookies and similar technologies set by Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, described in section 2.
• Directly from you, only when you place a call or send a WhatsApp message using the buttons on this site. In that conversation you may give us your name, phone number, vehicle make, model and year, service needed and the location of your car. We use those details to quote, dispatch a van or arrange garage work, and for nothing else.

2. Cookies and advertising (Google Ads disclosure)

This site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics and Google Ads tags. These set cookies and read device identifiers in order to measure how the site is used and to record when a visit leads to a call or a WhatsApp message (conversion tracking).

We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. This means third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party and third-party cookies together to serve ads to you based on your past visits to this website, and to report on how those ads perform. Google may also use this data to show you our ads on other sites across the web (Google Display Network). We do not run interest-based advertising around sensitive categories, and our ads never imply knowledge of personal details.

We do not use these tools to identify you personally, and we do not receive your name, email address or phone number from them. Advertising cookies are only set after the page loads the Google tags; blocking them does not break the site.

3. How to opt out

You can stop personalised advertising at any time:

• Turn off personalised ads in your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
• Opt out of third-party advertising cookies at optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work; only the measurement stops.

4. How we use information

• To answer your call or message, quote a price and dispatch a van to your car — for batteries, jump starts, recovery or any garage service listed on this site.
• To measure which pages and which ads lead to enquiries, so we spend the Google Ads budget sensibly and never retarget sensitive information.
• To keep the website secure, diagnose faults and improve how it works.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Website usage data is processed by Google as part of the analytics and advertising services described above, and by our hosting provider as part of running the site. If you contact us over WhatsApp, that conversation also passes through WhatsApp and is subject to its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where we are required to by law.

6. How long we keep it

Analytics and advertising data is retained according to Google's own retention settings. Job details you give us by phone or WhatsApp are kept for as long as needed to complete the work and honour the battery warranty, and then only as long as our records require.

7. Your choices

You can ask us what details we hold about a job, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Contact us by phone or WhatsApp using the details in section 9 and we will deal with the request.

8. Other sites and children

This site links to third-party services such as WhatsApp and Google. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and their own policies apply once you leave this site.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes and how to contact us

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
